Poker Legend: Doyle Brunson
Brought up in a Texan community, Doyle Brunson has grown from a humble beginning. Being the eldest of three children, he was often tasked to shuttle back and forth into their neighbourhood for their family needs. By age 24, he has already managed to come up with a reputable game strategy and his games were backed up with a dependable bankroll. At this time, he slowly developing his unique game strategies and his was already making a buzz in the world of poker.
Doyle Brunson began his bid into the different pker tournaments. After getting some beating from the best poker players, he eventually rose from the ranks. And finally, in two consecutive years (1976 and 1977) he won the back-to-back championship in the World Series of Poker, a coveted event that only the experts dared to play. He continued to play under this series and has held an impressing track record that includes 10 WSOP bracelets and 12 first place finishers. He is currently tied with Johnny Chan on the second place in having the most bracelets. His game strategy and wrath in the poker table has gained for him the respects of fellow poker geniuses. He has even been considered the best poker player who ever played. This is a singular recognition that only a legend like Doyle Brunson can muster.
In 2004, despite his advanced age, he bested all of the younger, bolder players in the 2004 Legends of Poker World Poker Tour Event. It made him richer by $1.2 million in the game that was considered the biggest WPT event for that year. For the long years that he has stayed in different poker tables, he has achieved the mastery of the game that allows him to look into the deeper minds of any player. This unique skill allows him to outplay even the brightest players. For him, his age is the best asset that gives him wisdom to play the card better.
